RCC has a ‘state-of-the art’ pre-clinical research facility spreads over 55,000 sq. ft (5500 sq. m). The facility spreads over ground plus two floors engaging in breeding & testing, analytical chemistry, genetic toxicology, pathology, quality assurance, test item logistics and archives. Additionally, an independent building designed to accommodate ecotoxicology studies covering both aquatic (Algae, Daphnia, Fish, Lemna gibba), and terrestrial species (Bird, Earth worm, Honey bee, Silk worm and Insect predator).
RCC has Information Technology facility including WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus, effective multiple backup solution, data sharing, data and information security and disaster recovery measures. IT team supports validation of computerized systems and spread sheet validation in accordance with OECD GLP guidance number 17.
Independent Quality Assurance department to ensure all activities are in compliance with OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
RCC has GLP compliant archives to ensure reliability, reproducibility and traceability of study specific records and material for a recommended period. The archives is environmentally controlled and maintained as required by OECD guidance number 15. RCC has controlled dedicated space for both paper as well as wet archives. For test item storage conditions include room temperature, desiccator, refrigerated and frozen at -20°C or -80°C. Validated electronic archival system is in place.
RCC has a separate Statistics department with experienced staff.
Statistical Program (STATPLUS Software Build 5.9.9.4/Core V6.7.3) is used for the data analysis pertaining to body weight, feed consumption, organ weights and clinical pathology data for long term toxicology studies including reproductive and carcinogenicity studies. For LD50 determination in ecotoxicology studies TOXSTAT version 3.5 statistical program is used
